Font Solved
This will be the last post on my ongoing font saga. I have found a font! While the foundry I had been negotiating with did come back to me with a generous offer, it was still more than I could realistically afford on my budget. A graphic designer friend of mine pointed me to this site:
- DaFont (www.dafont.com) – A site that allows independent font designers to give away free/public domain/demo versions of their fonts.
I found a nice font that fits the design of the game that had a “free for personal use” license attached to it. I contacted the designer and he licensed me the font for commercial use for a donation. Very cool!
Now my artist is working on designing a logo for the game with the new font and will be providing me with a bunch of artwork for the front-end with the new font. Things are coming together.
Once I’ve got the new logo ready and I get some of the new font artwork into the game I’m hoping to launch the new page for the game on the site. I’ll be sure to let you know when that happens. Hopefully it will be early next week.
